Talli is a traditional form of decorative embroidery practised by Emirati women that is also popular in other cultures around the world.
Talli is also known by other names, such as talli bawadil and talli batool. These names are all derived from talli, which is a strip of textile embroidered with coloured yarn, usually white and red, with intertwined silver threading.
